چکیده
Essential oils have been used since ancient times in traditional medicine and agri-food science to preserve food, combat human diseases. (EOs) from clove rosemary, obtained by hydro-distillation, were analyzed GC/MS evaluated for their antifungal activity against strains of Aspergillus tubingensis A. luchuensis effect on ochratoxin A (OTA) production these fungi. The major constituent EO was eugenol (86.4%), rosemary eucalyptol (35.9%). Mycelium growth inhibition assays showed that the EOs had dose-depend effects, which reached 36.6% EO, 100% at concentration 200 μL L-1. These reductions different strains, essential oil type, strain/oil type interaction. Analyses OTA culture medium extracts carried out using HPLC-FLD, confirmed LC-MS/MS positive controls two OTA-producing tubingensis. In general, reduced (from 45 reduction), except tubingensis, where stimulated.

Antifungal activity of the clove essential oil from Syzygium aromaticum on Candida, Aspergillus and dermatophyte species.
The composition and antifungal activity of clove essential oil (EO), obtained from Syzygium aromaticum, were studied. Clove oil was obtained commercially and analysed by GC and GC-MS. The EO analysed showed a high content of eugenol (85.3 %). MICs, determined according to Clinical and Laboratory Standards Institute protocols, and minimum fungicidal concentration were used to evaluate the antifu...
متن کاملOchratoxin A production and amplified fragment length polymorphism analysis of Aspergillus carbonarius, Aspergillus tubingensis, and Aspergillus niger strains isolated from grapes in Italy.
Ochratoxin A is a potent nephrotoxin and a possible human carcinogen that can contaminate various agricultural products, including grapes and wine. The capabilities of species other than Aspergillus carbonarius within Aspergillus section Nigri to produce ochratoxin A from grapes are uncertain, since strain identification is based primarily on morphological traits. We used amplified fragment len...
متن کاملInhibitory Effect of Essential Oils on Aspergillus ochraceus Growth and Ochratoxin A Production
Ochratoxin A (OTA) is a mycotoxin which is a common contaminant in grains during storage. Aspergillus ochraceus is the most common producer of OTA. Essential oils play a crucial role as a biocontrol in the reduction of fungal contamination. Essential oils namely natural cinnamaldehyde, cinnamon oil, synthetic cinnamaldehyde, Litsea citrate oil, citral, eugenol, peppermint, eucalyptus, anise and...

15 صفحه اولOchratoxin production by the Aspergillus ochraceus group and Aspergillus alliaceus.
Ochratoxin A is a toxic and carcinogenic fungal secondary metabolite; its presence in foods is increasingly regulated. Various fungi are known to produce ochratoxins, but it is not known which species produce ochratoxins consistently and which species cause ochratoxin contamination of various crops. We isolated fungi in the Aspergillus ochraceus group (section Circumdati) and Aspergillus alliac...
